Potty Training

Well I think we are almost there... we are on day 3 of potty training and it is going pretty well. Lauren had an accident on the sofa today, not so much fun to clean up but not to bad. We still put on a pull-up when we leave the house and for bed time. She kept her diaper dry for most of church, she even told me she needed to go but when I took her into the stall she said it was scary and didn't want to go. When she sat down in her car seat after church she started to cry and said she peed in her panties.

She is definately good at holding it but not so good at going on demand, I am sure that comes with time though. She has spent a lot of time on her potty, I initially was making her go and sit on it every 15 minutes but then she would tell me she needed to go and then sit down herself so I am letting her decide when to go. She will sit on it and watch TV. As excited as I am at the prospect of not having to change her diapers, a little bit of me is sad that she is growing up so fast.

We started off with a pile of dollar store items that I had wrapped up that we set outside of the bathroom and if she went pee she got to open one and if she went poo she got to open two. She went through the pile pretty fast once she started going. So far it has been a good time. ( I am sure my tune will change the first time she poops in her panties...)
