Grandpa comes to play!!!

My Dad finally made it up to visit us. We had lots of fun showing him around. He loved Canada but said that he could never live here because things are too expensive.

We took him to Fish Creek Park and went for a walk.
Lauren enjoyed watching the river under her.

Really cool plant

Lauren likes to go exploring

Running to catch up with us

Wes wanted to look a car out by Glemore Reservoir so I packed a lunch and we had a picnic and played.
Wes climbed up to help Lauren go down the huge slide then decided to slide down himself.

There was a fun water park
My Aunt Lori and her boyfriend Donald came up for a wedding and spent the night at our house. I took them up to Lake Louise and on the way got my first ticket (unfortunately it wasn't for speeding like I had anticipated it was for making a U-turn at a light, you are not allowed to make U-Turns here except at 4-way stops apparently.) We still had a great time.

Grandpa, Lauren and Chloe heading down to the lake. It was raining and Lauren was glad to get to use her umbrella.

Aunt Lori and Lauren in front of Lake Louise. Lauren adores Lori and was sad when she left.

The only picture I got with everyone in it...

Checkin' out the water

Pretty flowers

Tadaa here is the hotel
We went for a pretty long bike ride along the trail by our house. Lauren fell asleep within 15 minutes. (You can see her laying down in the trailer.) It was nice to have some company while riding.

The day before Dad left we headed up to Elbow Falls. It was a little chilly at first but it warmed up.

Elbow Falls

On the way back Lauren decided to take a "shortcut" which went straight up the side of the mountain. It had a great view from the top.

We really miss having my Dad around, I feel bad that I was so busy while he was here. Lauren walks around yelling Doo-Dad (my nickname for my Dad) and when she sees something that reminds her of him she lights up and says Grandpa!!!
