I started this post a long time ago, and here it finally is... they got here Aug 12th!
Tuesday Curtis, Christina and their boys Carson and Nick came up from Raymond to visit. We headed up towards Elbow Falls (we didn't quite make to the falls) but we had a yummy picnic
and then splashed in the river and threw rocks.
That night Curtis and Christina went to a Cirque Du Soleil show for their anniversary and I got to hang out with the boys.
We made english muffin pizzas,
went to the park,
played with cars and then they fell asleep.
I have been really concerned about if I would be able to handle having 2 kids but I actually did really well with the 3 of them, it helped me feel more ready to start working on that second kid.
Wednesday Curtis had business meetings and Christina and I took the kids to the Science Museum. It was a blast there was so much to see and do, we didn't even make it to all of the displays and we were there for 3 1/2 hours.
After dinner Christina and I headed over to Ikea and I found some great deals on things for my new calling (I can't announce it yet but will let you know when I can...see I can tell you now if I had posted it earlier you would have had to wait in anticipation to find out! I am the ward Family Home and Personal Enrichment Leader ) Wes came home a few minutes after us and then Curtis came back with a tasty ice-cream cake from Dairy Queen for my birthday! I think it is the first birthday cake I have had in years! They were suppose to go up to visit Christina's brother that night but they ended up staying.
Thursday we went to the water park (after a small detour for Christina to pick up some things for the boys for back to school.) Lauren was a little apprehensive at first but loved it by the end. I didn't take any pictures but it was tons of fun!
It was so nice to have them here, I wish we lived closer and could get together more often. At least they are only 3 hours away rather than the 18 they use to be!

Happy late birthday! I'm glad you've been having tons of fun with visitors and such. The picture of the kids as a rock band is too cute. :)
