Civic Holiday

Wes had last Monday off for a civic holiday and Steve was kind enough to give him the proceeding Friday and Saturday off too so we went on vacation. Well actually I had to leave Canada so I could come back and "land" to finalize my Permanent Residency status, but we made it in to a fun vacation too! Originally we were going to head down to Montana and go camping but with having an extra day we decided to go to Spokane and visit my family instead. We left after Wes got home from work on Thursday night and arrived at 3:30am. I woke up and said good-bye to Bob as he was off to visit some friends and then the girls went shopping while Wes slept and then did some shopping of his own. I found some great fabric and patterns I can't wait to use them and post pictures!!! Saturday we went out to Pizza and Bowling it was so much fun!

Everyone but Mom (she's the one taking the picture) at the bowling alley
Lauren got to bowl for everyone, she rolled the ball so slow that it typically didn't register so we still got to take our real turn
Lauren and Grandma Lauren and Wes

The score board for those that can't see Mom got a 77, Wes got a 78, Moe got a 77 and I got a 152!

Moe and I bought matching hats, had to put this on here to bother Wes...

Lauren LOVED the trampoline and talked everyone into taking her "hop"
We decided to leave Sunday after church since my Mom and Mariah were trying to get ready for Girls Camp Monday morning. We drove through Glacier Park and stopped in Kalispell, MT for the night.

Looking down on the valley

We were surprised to see so many waterfalls this late in the season

Lauren had her own waterfall going on! As we pulled up to park at the immigration office they were arresting a guy I am not sure what for but it made me nervous. All of my immigration stuff went really smooth, they were friendly and helpful, even offered Wes a job. It is nice to have that all behind me I am proud to be a Canadian (it's okay Janan I will always be an American I just added that to get you riled up :P )

Ok! I just want to say, I need to come visit you to teach me how to SEW!!! I have been so frustrated trying to find a dress for Kaiya, one that at least has SLEEVES on it!!! Needless to say, my mom has said, "LEARN TO SEW YOUR OWN!!" Thanks mom coming from a lady that, well, I don't remember much sewing in my house!!!!

I have been wanting to go to Glacier Park for years. It looks like it is breathtaking. So how far of a drive is it from you to Spokane? I have some friends there.
